This information is used only to understand how our website is being used and to improve your experience. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry — when you contact us, we use your name, email, and phone number to respond within 48 hours, and often sooner.
- To arrange consultations — we use your booking details to schedule and confirm your kitchen consultation, send reminders, and follow up afterwards.
- To prepare your quote — we use the project details you provide to design a personalised quote for your kitchen or interior project.
- To send you service-related emails — we send confirmation emails, appointment reminders, and follow-up messages directly related to your enquiry or project.
- To improve our website and services — we use anonymised technical data to understand how visitors use our website and to make it better.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not use it for advertising. We do not sell it to anyone.
4. Our Legal Basis for Processing
Under the Gambia PDPP Act 2025 and UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. Our bases are:
- Contract — processing is necessary to provide you with the services you have requested, such as a consultation, quote, or kitchen build.
- Legitimate interests — we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business effectively, which does not override your rights.
- Consent — where you have given us specific consent, such as to receive follow-up communications beyond your immediate enquiry.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We may share your data only with the following trusted service providers who help us operate our business, and only to the extent necessary:
- Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send you confirmation and notification emails. Resend processes your email address to deliver messages.
- Cal.com — our appointment booking platform, used when you book a consultation online. Cal.com processes your name, email, and booking details.
- Supabase — our secure database provider, where your enquiry and booking information is stored. Supabase is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — our AI chat provider, used to power the "Ask Us" widget. Your chat messages are processed by Anthropic to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data.
All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify. We do not permit them to use your data for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Our standard retention periods are:

- Active client data — retained for the duration of your project and for 5 years afterwards for warranty, aftercare, and legal purposes.
- Booking records — retained for 1 year following your appointment.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it securely from our systems.

Under the Gambia PDPP Act 2025, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- Right to access — you can ask us what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Right to correction — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information we hold about you.
- Right to deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain certain records.
- Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.

8. How We Protect Your Data
We take the security of your personal data seriously. We use the following measures to protect your information:
Our website uses HTTPS encryption so that all data transmitted between your browser and our website is protected in transit. Our database is hosted on Supabase with row-level security enabled, meaning data can only be accessed by authorised users. Access to your data within our business is limited to Leandra McKenzie and any authorised team members who need it to serve you. We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms to prevent spam and bot submissions.
9. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers, including Resend, Cal.com, Supabase, and Anthropic, are based outside The Gambia. When your data is transferred outside The Gambia, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the PDPP Act 2025. All providers we use are committed to international data protection standards and operate under their own privacy frameworks.
10. Cookies
Our website may use essential cookies that are necessary for the website to function correctly. These cookies do not track you for advertising purposes. We do not use third-party tracking or analytics cookies without your consent. You can control cookie settings through your browser at any time.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
